Oklahoma State pulls away from UCF in overtime

Kayne Clary scored seven points in overtime and Anthony Roy tallied 27 points overall, lift Oklahoma State to a 111-104 win over UCF on Tuesday in Orlando.

The Cowboys (18-12, 6-11 Big 12) won for the second time in three games, with both victories requiring OT.

Clary finished with 23 points while Christian Coleman and Jaylen Curry tallied 16 points apiece for Oklahoma State. Andrija Vukovic grabbed 10 rebounds to go with seven points.

Themus Bulks led the Knights (20-9, 9-8) with 22 points and six assists, Riley Kugel added 18 points.

John Bol had a career-high-tying 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked a Roy layup attempt at the end of regulation to force the extra period.

The Cowboys led 94-91 when Isaiah Coleman dunked with 24 seconds to go in the second half, but Chris Johnson nailed a step-back 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining to level the score.


The Knights went up 100-99 with 2:54 to go in overtime when Fulks drove for a layup. Roy made two free throws and Clary nailed a 3-pointer to give the Cowboys the lead for good at 104-100 with 1:12 left.

Oklahoma State fell behind by 13 early, but finished the first half on a 14-4 run to lead 45-40 at the break.

UCF led 36-31 before Curry scored on back-to-back layups and hit a free throw to tie it at 36 with 2:15 left in the half.

Roy and Clary each hit a pair of free throws and Isaiah Coleman scored on a tremendous dunk to finish off an 11-0 run for a 42-36 lead with a minute to go.

Elijah Hulsewe scored for UCF, but Clary came right back with a 3-pointer for a 45-38 lead.

The Knights built the early lead on the back of Hulsewe, who had seven total points heading into the night on limited play this season.

He hit two free throws and a pair of layups for a 19-9 lead. Hulsewe finished with nine points.
